Our Story
Formerly known as King of Prussia Family Wellness Center, PC, Experience Chiropractic was founded in 2003 by Dr. Brandie Keates in an effort to provide superior chiropractic care, massage therapy, and rehabilitation services to Philadelphia's Main Line and its surrounding counties.
The center was different from the beginning. Dr. Brandie's unique clinical background included years of work as an EMT working regularly with trauma cases, creating a foundation in which she viewed the body structure as a whole.
When Dr. Brandie gave birth to her daughter Alexandra in 1998, things started to change.
"After having Ali, something clicked in me. Before her, I could easily draw blood from babies and small children. After having her - I would cry. As a mother, my heart physically hurt for them. And as a paramedic - that can't happen."
One day, Ali slipped on a book while dancing and broke her leg. The healing process left her with a heavy limp.
“I just remember people stopping us in toy stores and asking what was wrong with our daughter and why she walked like a duck,” Dr. Brandie recalls.
Ali was taken to 3 specialists who concluded that she would have to wait until she turned four for further analysis, with the likely result being that doctors would have to re-break her little leg or put her in a brace.

“I was devastated because I feared it was permanent. Someone asked me after a few months if I had ever thought of taking her to a chiropractor. I told them they were nuts – what did a chiropractor have to do with a broken leg?” But Dr. Brandie felt desperate for a better option for her daughter. She agreed to go in and just listen to the doctor – swearing she wouldn't allow him to treat Ali.
They were met by a large jolly man who immediately earned Ali's trust. Dr. Brandie watched as he laid her across his lap and examined her leg. He called Dr. Brandie over to see that one leg was markedly longer than the other.
The doctor explained that the weight of Ali's hip cast had caused her pelvis to misalign. He demonstrated how the pelvic bone would make her leg appear short due to spasms in the surrounding muscles. It seemed logical and Dr. Brandie consented to treatment on the spot.
The chiropractor placed her back on his lap, lifted her leg, and gently manipulated her lower back. She giggled and he placed her back on the floor. Ali immediately began walking as she'd never been injured with no limp in sight.

“I remember he thanked us for the honor of trusting him with our child's care. I grabbed him and gave him a huge hug!”
On the car ride home, Dr. Brandie decided that she never wanted another child or family to go through what she had. That was 20 years ago.

Since then, the practice has grown to include a prenatal division, Bloom @ Experience Chiropractic, multiple doctors, a large and beautiful new office space, and more. The practice has helped countless people who previously succumbed to the idea that they should accept pain as their baseline.
